Mr. Mark Wilson
Reverend Mark Wilson is a native of Philadelphia, PA. He is an alumnus of the 245th graduating class of the renowned Central High School of Philadelphia. Other notable alumni include Nobel Laureate Henry David Abraham, linguist and activist Noam Chomsky, Larry Fine of the Three Stooges, former Pennsylvania Supreme Court Chief Justice Robert N.C. Nix, Jr., young international concert violinist Shunsuke Sato, Lyrica inventor Richard Bruce Silverman, and Raymond Teller of magician duo Penn and Teller. Upon graduation, he matriculated at Drexel University to study electrical engineering. Rev. Wilson worked in the aerospace industry for several companies along the eastern seaboard as an engineer, computer programmer, and computer systems implementation trainer.
After a brief engineering career, Rev. Wilson completed theological study at New Life Bible Institute and Missionary Training School. Afterwards, he returned to Drexel and obtained a degree in mathematics education. Rev. Wilson enjoyed a long and prosperous career teaching mathematics at many different levels, including GED classroom instructor, high school instructor in various states, and faculty member of the Technical College System of Georgia.
At Drexel University Rev. Wilson gained an understanding of and developed strategies to combat mathematics learning disabilities to increase the successes of students. He used that information in his instructional practices to inspire students to become healthcare professionals, legal professionals, engineers, educators, scientists, architects and even a professional athlete!
At church, Rev. Wilson uses his educational and theological backgrounds to show his students relationships between the sciences and theology. He has taught theology for Bible Institutes as well as Bible Study and Sunday school classes for various age groups of congregations where he has served as a minister. Rev. Wilson continues to teach mathematics and science part-time as an online instructor.
At Grace Hearing and Language Services, Rev. Wilson consistently promotes and encourages excellent service, fostering positive performance and growth in his management of operations. As a state of Georgia licensed audiology assistant (in progress), you will find his dedication to the vision of Grace Hearing and Language Services is unparalleled and “just what the doctor ordered”. He is inspired by individuals with hearing loss who strive to improve their ability to communicate with family, friends, and co-workers.
In his recreational time, Rev. Wilson enjoys traveling, deep-sea fishing, watching Jeopardy, playing chess, and other board games of strategy.
